As an UKATA-approved training centre, we offer UKATA Licensed Asbestos  Supervisor Refresher Training in Maidstone, Kent. This one day course is for those who have passed their Asbestos Removal Supervisor Training or refresher course within the last 12 months.

This course ensures that candidates can continue to safely and effectively work as asbestos removal supervisors, and are aware of any changes in regulations, best practices and new techniques whilst reaffirming information concerning health hazards, general site procedures, licensing and HSE requirements.

In order to keep your knowledge up-to-date, UKATA advises that the appropriate asbestos removal refresher course is taken every year.

Course Duration

Our UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher Training lasts one day (six hours).

Weekday courses commence at 8.30am and weekend courses at 7.30am.

Course Location

Our UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher Training is delivered at our training centre in Maidstone, Kent.

If you require a remote-learning option, we offer online courses. To ensure candidates have the best experience when carrying out e-refreshers, they must have:

  • Access to a desktop or laptop computer with a webcam capable of running Zoom
  • A good internet connection – high speed broadband is highly recommended
  • A study space with minimal disruptions
  • A working microphone, either in their computer or headset.

Who should attend?

UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher Training is for candidates who have passed their Asbestos Removal Supervisor Training or refresher course within the last 12 months. It enables candidates to stay up-to-date on the latest UKATA advice regarding best practices, safety precautions, licensing and HSE requirements.

Candidates will be required to provide evidence of their previous training certification.

We also offer refresher courses for non-licensed asbestos removal and asbestos removal managers and operatives.

Course Programme

Your Refresher course covers the requirements set out in Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and follow the UKATA syllabus.

As part of your UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher Training, you will:

  • Fulfil identified training needs
  • Receive new information, e.g. changes in current health and safety legislation and best practices (such as use of new equipment or wetting techniques)
  • Be reminded of the risks faced while working with asbestos
  • Reinforce procedures such as the use of hygiene facilities, use and maintenance of RPE and how to use controlled removal techniques.

Certificates /Awards

After passing the UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher Training, candidates will receive a certificate allowing them to work safely as an asbestos removal supervisor for 12 months from date of issue.

Next Steps

The UKATA Asbestos Removal Supervisor Refresher is renewable every 12 months. To ensure you are qualified and safe to supervise and conduct work with asbestos-containing materials, a further refresher course should be completed within a year.
