Is IOSH training worth doing? This came up as one of the most frequently asked questions on Google so I thought we’d try and answer it for you. Firstly there is a Working Safely course and a Managing Safely course. The first is more suited to employees at the ground level. The second is for managers and professionals who have health and safety responsibilities. Both courses are appropriate for those working across ALL industries, whether that’s in construction or a low risk office environment.
The Managing Safely 3-day course content is designed to be interactive and engaging. There’s plenty of case studies, quizzes and group discussions, and throughout the training delegates will be equipped with the skills to deal with any health and safety issues they’d be responsible for. They will learn how to assess risks and control them, understand their duties, investigating incidents and how to measure performance. Attending this course can have longer term benefits for your business too. By putting the course outcomes into practice, you can establish an improved company wide safety-culture. It’s globally recognised training!
The IOSH Working Safely training is just a 1-day course, for delegates who want an improved awareness of health and safety issues. There are no pre-requisites for this course and it’s the perfect introduction for understanding UK Health and Safety requirements.
